Everything you want to know.
The Hosted Practitioner Program is the process for how every practitioner gains entry into Safeguard. Every practitioner must apply. If accepted, Hosted Practitioners receive a complimentary pass and a $1,500 travel reimbursement.
Individuals who (a) work directly for banking, fintech, payments, crypto, e-commerce/retail, or SaaS/marketplaces organizations, (b) hold fraud, identity, risk, and/or compliance-related responsibilities, and (c) influence selection of solution providers. Employees of consulting firms, solution providers, and VC firms do not qualify.
Up to ten 15-minute, double opt-in 1:1 meetings with solution providers of your choice, and one Breakthru Networking Dinner. These commitments are required to attend as a Hosted Practitioner, and completing them (along with a short feedback survey and expense receipts) is what unlocks the $1,500 travel reimbursement.
After the event, Hosted Practitioners submit a short feedback survey and receipts for travel and hotel expenses. Reimbursement requires completing your 1:1 meetings and networking dinner, submitting the survey, and providing receipts within stated deadlines. Payment via ACH or wire is available.
For US-based Hosted Practitioners, average estimated out-of-pocket costs are ~$200. Breakdown: hotel ($1,200–$1,300), airfare (~$300), rideshares (~$200), totaling ~$1,700 before the $1,500 reimbursement. International costs may vary.
Safeguard selects a broad range of fraud, identity, and compliance leaders from across fintech, banking, crypto, payments, SaaS/marketplaces, e-commerce, gaming, and beyond. Check out the companies that attended last year.
